Engineer. Explorer.
Relentlessly curious.

Computer Science from IIT Indore. A decade across startups of every size and stage — fintech, hospitality, travel, ed-tech, and more. Different teams, different tech stacks, different domains. The kind of engineer who understands systems from first principles — operating systems, networking, distributed architectures — and applies that depth to ship real products.

The Career

Almost 10 years of shipping software that people actually use. Worked across the full stack at multiple startups and small companies — backend, frontend, infra, mobile, whatever needed building. Grew through teams of 3 and teams of 30, through seed-stage chaos and post-Series B scale. Mastered what mattered: strong fundamentals in OS internals, networking, database design, and software architecture. Now channelling all of it into DevPilot — an AI-powered SDLC platform that turns ideas into shipped products.

The Road

3 years on the move across India — working remotely, riding a Karnataka-plated bike through villages and cities where people were amused, surprised, and sometimes shocked to see the lone rider from Bangalore show up in their corner of the country. Whitewater kayaking in glacial Rishikesh water. Sunrise treks starting at 2 AM. Random 30 km hikes into the Himalayas with no fixed plan. Every chai stop, every fellow traveller — an exchange of ideas, cultures, and stories. The kind of travel that changes how you think.

The Mind

Perpetually in research mode. The kind of brain that reads a paper on distributed systems at midnight and wakes up prototyping it at 6 AM. Every conversation is a chance to learn something — from a senior engineer, a chai-stall owner, or a fellow traveller on a mountain pass.

Every person is the hero of their own story. Everyone is running their own race — at their own pace, on their own terrain. There is no losing, only learning. The only real failure is the one where you stop building, stop moving, stop being curious about what comes next.

Non-techie → Builder

MBA. Entrepreneur.
Domain-first builder.

Founding Member at Surya AI Technologies & DevPilot. IIM gave the frameworks. Entrepreneurship taught the rest. Left a stable career to start Surya AI — because sitting on the sidelines felt worse than the risk.

The Origin

Leaving the job was the hardest choice. After that, no looking back. Building Surya AI Technologies showed one brutal truth: domain knowledge alone doesn't ship products. Knew the market. Knew the users. Just couldn't build fast enough without depending on someone else's calendar.

The Partnership

This time is different. DevPilot is built with co-founder Kishore — who refused to let Soumya stay on the non-technical side of the table. Pulled into the terminal, into the code, into the architecture. The road ahead is too long for a solo trip.

The Mission

DevPilot is the platform that should have existed from day one. If you have the domain, we have the rest. Doctor building a health app. CA building billing software. Teacher building ed-tech. Your expertise IS the product — DevPilot makes it real.

Beyond the Build

When not shipping products, Soumya is somewhere in the wild — chasing the perfect light over a mountain valley or waiting quietly for an animal to emerge from the shadows. Nature and landscape photography isn't just a hobby; it's the same instinct that drives the work — patience, observation, and knowing exactly when to pull the trigger. Every new place is a story waiting to be framed.

Nature Photography Wildlife Landscape Travel Stories

This is the platform I wish existed when I started. If you have the domain, we have the rest. Every founder deserves a dev team that moves at the speed of their ambition — not at the speed of someone else's calendar.
